Support for Carers

A carer is someone who provides unpaid care to another person who is frail aged or has dementia or someone of any age who has a disability, a mental illness or an ongoing medical condition.

All carers are different and each care relationship is unique.  Carers can be any age.  They may be a spouse or partner, a relative, friend or neighbour.  Some carers live with the person they care for, others don't.

Regardless of the circumstances, caring can be a rewarding experience but it can also be demanding, challenging and sometimes overwhelming.
