New Intake & Client Engagement Manager


Mpower is thrilled to announce the appointment of Penny Ryan to the new role of Intake and Client Engagement Manager.

Many of you will know Penny who has worked in the Early Childhood Intervention Services at Mpower for the past 12 years and prior to that, as an Occupational Therapist at Specialist Children’s Services for 16 years.

Over the coming year Penny will be the ‘go to’ Mpower person to answer queries, source information and generally help our community both existing and new, in the transition to the NDIS. The NDIS is a life changing, emotionally challenging time for all of us and it is Mpower’s goal to assist individuals and their families through the process by providing information, advocacy and support. Penny is happy to speak with you about the NDIS.

Developing a one point Intake response to all Mpower services will provide a seamless entry to our services. Respectfully gathering personal information at Intake will help us together make informed decisions about which programs and services will lead to achievable outcomes. Penny will be working across all the Mpower services to set up an Intake model so your information only needs to be gathered once and there is smooth transition between the different services that you may be using. Having to tell your story multiple times is stressful and frustrating and is something that we want to eliminate.

Being able to assist anyone in our community is important and providing information about other community services is very much part of the Intake service. It may be that you are not eligible for NDIS or any of Mpower services but Penny is happy to speak with you to direct you to other services in the community.

Initially Penny will be available Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursdays and will extend to Fridays later in the year.
