MPOWER SUPPORTS CHILD SAFE STANDARDS

Mpower supports the new Child Safe Standards which come into effect in Victoria on 1 July 2022.  The Standards are designed to strengthen child safety by including a new requirement for organisations to involve families and communities in their efforts to keep children and young people safe; bringing a greater focus on safety for Aboriginal children and young people; and managing the risk of child abuse in online environments.

As a provider of services to over 1400 children, young people and adults in the greater South-West region, Mpower has been working on ways to bring these new standards to life and is planning to run a series of focus groups to generate ideas on how to provide a safer environment for children and young people in the community.  If you would like to be involved with this new initiative, please contact Mpower on ph 5561-0188 or email admin@mpower.org.au .
