MPOWER COVID STATEMENT

 

NOTICE TO Participants and families

 

In response to the Victorian Government’s latest announcement on changes to regional responses to Coronavirus (COVID – 19) and the move to Level 3 restrictions, Mpower has implemented the following actions to protect participants, families and staff.

 

Mpower Reception remains open to the public with safety implementations in place.  All members of the public entering the Mpower building will need to be wearing masks and provide contact details. All staff will be wearing masks and practising social distancing.

 

To align with State Government requirements, we can safely continue to offer the following services: -

Disability Services:

  • Schools Out will continue for children who attend the Specialist School only
  • Essential 1:1 care is provided to participants on a daily/weekly basis
  • Short term accommodation 1:1 or for family groups

Early Childhood Intervention:

The following groups which do not require parents to stay, and services will continue.

  • Pre-Kinder Program - Tuesday 9.30am- 12.00noon
  • Mpower Towards Independence – Wednesday 10.00am-12.00noon
  • SPOT Group (kinder age) - Wednesday 1.45pm-3.00pm
  • Speech, Occupational and Behavioural sessions will be conducted over the phone, via Zoom /Telehealth and/or in the office by individual arrangement.
  • Key worker and behaviour support

Intake: All intake interviews are being conducted via telephone

 

Plan Management: Continuing as usual. All enquiries should be via telephone or email

 

Carer Support Program: Support is continuing via telephone, email or video calls

 

Family Support: Support is continuing via telephone, email or video calls

 

Parent Support Program: Support is continuing via telephone, email or video

 

Mpower will continue to monitor the State and Federal Government websites for the latest updates, advice and recommendations.
